Students anticipated registering, itineraries started printing and parents were preparing to cut checks. Bidding on travel accommodations had begun for several May Term Study Experience trips. Then all was brought to a halt.
Faculty and students were disappointed to learn last September of the canceling of some favored May Term Study Experiences.

Ugh, another disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, apparently an oil spill. Yes, I just found out. I don't watch, read or listen to the news. I happened to be near a television tuned to a news broadcast covering the "disaster."
In the same broadcast, news of some "terrorist" leaving a pathetic excuse of bomb in Times Square made its way to my ear.
